Coronavirus Safe Response
What you need to know and do:
The less patients contact with their breath, body or belongings when attending appointments, the less likely Coronavirus can be spread. Therefore, the measures below are designed to achieve the safest conditions for you and the patient arriving after you.
Please read the following points carefully and ensure that you adhere to the directions of staff at all times.
1. Book your appointment by phone - Please do not arrive ad-hoc without an appointment
2. Pay at the time of booking - This will enable us to take you straight into clinic bypassing reception and the waiting area and exit without waiting or delay
3. Arrive no earlier than five minutes before your appointment - You will have to wait outside until the clinic is cleaned ready for your treatment
4. If you are over 18yrs, you can't bring a relative or friend into the clinic with you unless there is a valid medical reason we accept
5. Do not bring shopping bags or other items with you. Any items you do have, for example scarf and mobile phone, must fit into your coat pockets
6. Wear a coat that allows the collar to be turned down to give access to your ear(s) - the clinic is cool and you will be asked to keep your coat on
7. Bring your glasses with you, so you can see to complete a consent form
8. We will provide patients with a Type IIR rated (fluid resistant) surgical face mask and professional hand sanitiser. You cannot wear a personal mask.

What we've done and are doing to keep you safe:

2. Running a new air extraction system to remove particulates during and between patient consultations
3. Invested in Corian hygienic surfaces that can be chlorinated to kill viruses
4. Invested in a hygienic treatment chair that can be chlorinated to kill viruses

Prices
Despite further investment and the increased cost in protective equipment for patients and staff, we have taken the decision not to increase the cost of treatments. When the decision to open the service to the public was made in 2018, a key aim was to provide truly first-class facilities and care at minimal cost. Ear Clinic led the way in lowering prices for local people at £49 for a 30 minute appointment. We see the recent upgrades to our facilities and services as part of that commitment and we’re proud to demonstrate that by retaining our exceptionally low pricing.
We will continue to only accept payment by debit card.

Service Continuity Plan
With our service continuity plan measures now in place, we are confident in our ability to continue treating patients, even in the event of resurgences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
