The Ear Clinic brand colours are linked to the RAF ensign. The flooring matches the light blue and there are discreet elements of red taken from the roundel.
The treatment room is not large. Most healthcare buildings suffer from the same problem of never having enough space. Technology was a key factor in enabling a fully functional clinic to fit into the available space. With £85k in funds, it’s was possible to avoid purchasing many pieces of equipment as individual items and instead, purchase a high-level treatment unit with all the main diagnostic and treatment elements combined.
The benefit of having all the instruments in one place means that the space is designed around the professional. Everything is to hand or control available via the foot pedals. The patient is seated comfortably and electronically adjusted to place them in the correct position, safely and without effort. The space is therefore ergonomic in its function and with a full clinic day ahead, the reduced workload is a major benefit.
The Unit houses a pole that the latest LED microscope fixes to. The light source, fibre optics and electrics are all integrated and work together seamlessly. Move the microscope or lift the camera from the unit and appropriate software starts, the light source turns on and work begins. The large screens all work together and give both the patient and the professional clear HD views.
Lift the suction tube from its holder and the vacuum pump starts automatically. It’s the same for all the devices including the irrigator that starts pre-heating the water as soon as the handle is chosen.
